Baked Apple Quarters With Puff Pastry
Ingredients
- 8 russet or lemon pippin apples
- 4 cloves
- 1 lemon, zested only
- 4 oz (1 cup) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp quince jam (optional)
- 1 sheet puff pastry
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel, core, and quarter the apples.
- 2 Place apple quarters tightly in a pie dish. Insert cloves between pieces.
- 3 Mix lemon zest, sugar, and quince jam (if using). Sprinkle over apples.
- 4 Cover with puff pastry. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden.
