Baked Apple Quarters With Puff Pastry

Ingredients

  • 8 russet or lemon pippin apples
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 lemon, zested only
  • 4 oz (1 cup) granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp quince jam (optional)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Peel, core, and quarter the apples.
  2. 2 Place apple quarters tightly in a pie dish. Insert cloves between pieces.
  3. 3 Mix lemon zest, sugar, and quince jam (if using). Sprinkle over apples.
  4. 4 Cover with puff pastry. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until golden.
