Baked Almond Ratafia Custards

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb almond paste
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sifted sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream or milk
  • Ratafia flavoring

Method

  1. 1 Make the ground almonds into a paste with a spoonful of water.
  2. 2 Warm the butter and mix it with the almond paste.
  3. 3 Add the sugar, cream or milk, and well-beaten eggs; mix thoroughly.
  4. 4 Butter small cups, half-fill them with the mixture, and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. 5 Turn out onto a dish and serve with sweet sauce.
