Bacon Wrapped Oysters On Toast

Ingredients

  • 6 oysters
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 6 rounds toast or fried bread
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks

Method

  1. 1 Cut bacon into thin strips. Season oysters with salt and pepper.
  2. 2 Wrap each oyster in a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  3. 3 Place each wrapped oyster on a round of toast or fried bread.
  4. 4 Cook in a moderate oven (350°F) for about 5 minutes.
  5. 5 Serve very hot, sprinkled with additional pepper.
