Bacon Stuffed Tomatoes On Toast
Ingredients
- 3 large tomatoes
- 2 tbsp bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp grated cheese
- 2 tbsp cream
- ½ tsp sugar
- salt and cayenne to taste
- 3 thin slices bacon
- 3 thin slices toast
Method
- 1 Cut tomatoes in half and scoop out the insides. Mix the scooped tomato flesh with bread crumbs, cheese, cream, sugar, salt, and cayenne.
- 2 Fill the tomato halves with the mixture. Place a thin slice of bacon on top of each stuffed tomato.
- 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until the bacon is cooked through. Serve each tomato on a slice of toast.
