Bacon Stuffed Tomatoes On Toast

Ingredients

  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp grated cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • salt and cayenne to taste
  • 3 thin slices bacon
  • 3 thin slices toast

Method

  1. 1 Cut tomatoes in half and scoop out the insides. Mix the scooped tomato flesh with bread crumbs, cheese, cream, sugar, salt, and cayenne.
  2. 2 Fill the tomato halves with the mixture. Place a thin slice of bacon on top of each stuffed tomato.
  3. 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until the bacon is cooked through. Serve each tomato on a slice of toast.
