Bacon Mayonnaise Broiled Oysters

Ingredients

  • oysters, opened in shell
  • mayonnaise, highly seasoned
  • fine bread crumbs
  • finely chopped bacon
  • lemon, for garnish

Method

  1. 1 Remove oysters from shells, wash, and inspect for shell fragments.
  2. 2 Roll oysters in seasoned mayonnaise, then coat in bread crumbs.
  3. 3 Return oysters to shells and sprinkle with finely chopped bacon.
  4. 4 Broil or bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 8 minutes.
  5. 5 Serve in the shell with a garnish of lemon.
