Bacon And Onion Potato Soup
Ingredients
- slices of streaky bacon
- very finely-sliced onions
- potatoes
- pepper
- salt
- 1 coffee-spoonful dried mixed herbs
Method
- 1 Heat bacon slices in a pan until half-cooked, then remove and set aside.
- 2 In the remaining bacon fat, fry the finely-sliced onions until brown.
- 3 Place onions in a large pot, add potatoes, bacon, pepper, salt, and dried mixed herbs.
- 4 Add enough water to cover ingredients and cook until potatoes and bacon are tender.
