  • 2 cups kidney beans
  • ¼ pound bacon
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Wash and soak 2 cups kidney beans in cold water overnight. Drain and cover with boiling water.
  2. 2 Add ¼ pound bacon to the beans and boil until the beans are tender. Drain the mixture.
  3. 3 Season the beans with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. 4 Brown thin slices of bacon in a frying pan and serve over the beans.
