Apple Puff Pancake
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- pinch of salt
- 2 cups milk
- 3 eggs, well-beaten
- butter for pan
- peeled and sliced apples
- butter for dotting
- sugar
- grated lemon peel or spice (optional)
Method
- 1 Sift 1 cup flour with a pinch of salt into a bowl.
- 2 Stir in 2 cups milk and 3 well-beaten eggs until smooth.
- 3 Pour batter into a shallow buttered pan.
- 4 Top with peeled, sliced apples; dot with butter and sprinkle generously with sugar.
- 5 Add grated lemon peel or spice if desired. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
- 6 Serve hot.
