  • 5 sour apples, peeled, cored, and cut into eighths
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Lemon rind gratings
  • Butter, cut into small lumps

Method

  1. 1 Line a pie plate with pie pastry. Arrange the apple eighths evenly in the crust.
