Apple Onion And Egg Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 oz apples
  • 1/4 lb Spanish onions
  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Shortcrust pastry

Method

  1. 1 Peel and chop the apples and onions. Stew gently with a little water until nearly tender.
  2. 2 Season with salt and pepper, then stir in the butter.
  3. 3 Turn the mixture into a small pie dish. Quarter the hard-boiled egg and place pieces on top.
  4. 4 Cover with shortcrust pastry and bake for 30 minutes.
