Apple Oat Crisp
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup white whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup canola oil (or unsalted butter, melted)
- 6 cups apples (peeled and diced)
- 1 tablespoon white whole wheat flour
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a baking dish.
- 2 Toss 3/4 cup flour, oats, 3 tbsp white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- 3 Add oil or melted butter to the topping mixture and toss until combined.
- 4 Place diced apples in the dish with 1 tbsp flour and 3 tbsp sugar; mix well.
- 5 Spread topping over fruit. Bake until fruit is tender and topping is golden, about 45 minutes.
- 6 Serve warm or refrigerate for up to 2 days.
