Apple Date Pie Filling
Ingredients
- 2 cups apples, chopped
- 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
- 1 tablespoon fat
- 1 teaspoon lemon rind
- ½ cup water
Method
- 1 Combine apples, dates, fat, lemon rind, and water in a saucepan.
- 2 Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender.
- 3 Use as a filling for tarts or double-crust pies.
