Apple Cranberry Crisp With Oat Topping
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 5 cups sliced unpeeled apples
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon
- grated lemon peel
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, 1 teaspoon flour, and lemon peel; mix well.
- 2 Stir in apples and cranberries, then spoon the mixture into a 6-cup baking dish.
- 3 In a small bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon. Stir in melted margarine.
- 4 Sprinkle the topping over the fruit filling. Bake for 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
- 5 Serve warm or at room temperature.
