Apple Bread Crumb Pudding With Lemon And Butter
Ingredients
- 2 lb apples
- ½ lb bread crumbs
- 3 oz granulated sugar
- grated lemon rind
- 1 oz butter
Method
- 1 Peel, core, and slice the apples.
- 2 Butter a pie dish and add a layer of apples.
- 3 Sprinkle with bread crumbs, lemon rind, sugar, and small pieces of butter.
- 4 Repeat layers until the dish is full, finishing with a top layer of crumbs and butter.
- 5 Bake until the pudding is nicely browned.
- 6 Turn out of the dish to serve.
