Almond Sand Tarts With Cinnamon Sugar
Ingredients
- 2 lbs light brown sugar
- ¾ lb butter
- 2 lbs flour
- 3 eggs
- Milk as needed to make a stiff dough
- Beaten egg and milk mixture for brushing
- Blanched almonds
- Cinnamon and sugar for dusting
Method
- 1 Combine sugar, butter, flour, and eggs. Add enough milk to form a stiff dough.
- 2 Roll the dough very thin and cut into desired shapes.
- 3 Brush each tart with a mixture of beaten egg and milk.
- 4 Place two or three blanched almonds on each tart.
- 5 Dust with cinnamon and sugar.
- 6 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
