Almond Rose Shortbread Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup Crisco
- 4 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon rose extract
Method
- 1 Cream Crisco and sugar thoroughly together.
- 2 Gradually add well-beaten eggs, then mix in milk and extracts.
- 3 Add flour, salt, and baking powder; mix until combined.
- 4 Roll out lightly on a floured baking board.
- 5 Cut into circles with a doughnut cutter and lay on greased tins.
- 6 Bake in a 350°F oven for 7-10 minutes or until light brown.
