Almond Rice Tart With Currants
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond paste
- 1 cup boiled rice
- 2 tbsp cream
- 1 tsp rose water
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 2 egg yolks
- pinch of salt
- ¼ cup boiled currants
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 red and white biscuit pieces
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix almond paste, boiled rice, cream, rose water, sugar, cinnamon, egg yolks, salt, currants, and butter in a bowl until combined.
- 2 Line a tart pan with puff pastry. Fill with the mixture and seal the edges.
- 3 Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- 4 Remove from oven, ice with glaze, and decorate with red and white biscuit pieces. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
