Almond Rice Pudding With Raspberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb rice
- 2 1/2 pints milk
- 1 oz butter
- 3 oz ground sweet almonds
- 12 ground bitter almonds
- sugar to taste
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- raspberry jam
- water
Method
- 1 Cook rice, butter, milk, sugar, and almonds until rice is tender, about 40-50 minutes.
- 2 Butter a mold and sift cinnamon evenly over the inside.
- 3 Pour the rice mixture into the mold and let it cool completely.
- 4 Dip the mold in hot water for 30 seconds if needed, then turn out onto a plate.
- 5 Serve with a sauce made from raspberry jam and water.
