Almond Macarons With Flour
Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 lb blanched almonds
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 5-6 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting
Method
- 1 Beat the egg whites and yolks together vigorously for one hour.
- 2 Grind the blanched almonds into a very fine powder to prevent oiling out.
- 3 Beat the powdered sugar into the egg mixture, then fold in the ground almonds and flour.
- 4 Spoon the batter onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set, dusting lightly with sugar if desired.
