Almond Lemon Egg White Cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 4 tablespoons Crisco
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
- 2 egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Milk
Method
- 1 Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar into a bowl.
- 2 Place egg whites in a measuring cup, add Crisco, and fill the rest with milk.
- 3 Add the wet mixture and extracts to the dry ingredients.
- 4 Beat vigorously for six minutes.
- 5 Pour into a greased and floured cake tin.
- 6 Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
