Almond Extract White Cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 4 egg whites
- 1 tsp almond extract
Method
- 1 Beat the butter and sugar together until creamy.
- 2 Stir the milk into one cup of the flour, then add this mixture to the creamed butter and sugar.
- 3 Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and fold them into the batter.
- 4 Sift the baking powder and remaining cup of flour together, then add to the mixture along with the almond extract.
- 5 Pour into a loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes or more.
