  • 0.25 oz bitter almonds
  • 4 oz butter
  • 4 oz loaf sugar
  • 1 pint cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • puff pastry

Method

  1. 1 Beat sweet almonds, bitter almonds, butter, and sugar together in a mortar until smooth.
  2. 2 Add cream, eggs, and sherry to the almond mixture and stir to combine.
  3. 3 Line a dish with puff pastry and pour in the filling.
  4. 4 Bake for 30 minutes until set and golden.
