Almond Caraway Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups loaf sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tbsp sack (sherry)
  • 1 tbsp brandy

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat butter until creamy.
  2. 2 Beat eggs separately, then combine yolks and whites. Gradually beat in sugar.
  3. 3 Mix in sherry and brandy.
  4. 4 Fold in flour, sliced almonds, and caraway seeds until combined.
  5. 5 Pour into a greased tube pan and bake for 45-60 minutes until golden.
