Almond Caraway Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups butter
- 12 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups loaf sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tbsp sack (sherry)
- 1 tbsp brandy
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat butter until creamy.
- 2 Beat eggs separately, then combine yolks and whites. Gradually beat in sugar.
- 3 Mix in sherry and brandy.
- 4 Fold in flour, sliced almonds, and caraway seeds until combined.
- 5 Pour into a greased tube pan and bake for 45-60 minutes until golden.
