Tally Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

When you use Tally, we collect:

• Your email address and name (via Google Sign-In)
• Payee names and transaction records you create
• Invite codes and shared access records
• Timestamps and record metadata
• Device information and error reports (for crash diagnostics)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Tally app
• Store and display your payees, transactions, and balances
• Manage invite codes and shared access between users
• Diagnose errors and improve app reliability

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Tally uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob for advertising. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• WorkOS for authentication. See: https://workos.com/privacy
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) for data storage and hosting.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on AWS servers in the United States, encrypted at rest. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete individual transactions or payees at any time within the app. You can delete your entire account from Settings, which permanently removes:

• Your user profile and email
• All payee and transaction records you own
• All invite codes you created
• Your authentication credentials

Account deletion is processed within 24 hours. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

Children's Privacy

Tally is designed for parents and guardians to manage allowances. The app is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data within the app at any time
• Delete any data you have created
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
